Institute for Economic Inquiry: Philosophy, Politics and Economics Reading Group Spring 2022

Michael Thomas, PhD, associate professor of economics and director of students for the Institute for Economic Inquiry (IEI), will direct the spring 2022 session of the Philosophy, Politics and Economics reading group.

The topic of the reading group is “Civil Society and Social Change,” and the IEI will provide the readings to participants:

1. “The High Cost of Free Parking” by Donald Shoup
2. “Systems Thinking for Social Change” by David Peter Stroh

Meeting dates are Jan. 25, Feb. 1, Feb. 8, Feb. 15 and Feb. 22. Applications are open for undergraduate or graduate students for free access to the PPE Blueline Group, a copy of each text, dinner before each session, and an honorarium for participation. Participants must be able to attend each of the five meetings and the Humanomics Colloquium, March 18-19, 2022. Apply by Nov. 28, 2021.
