Jewell Publishes on Professional Reasoning for Occupational Therapy Education

Vanessa Jewell, PhD, OTR/L, along with colleagues and OTD alumni, publish two articles related to use of the Occupation-Centered Intervention Assessment, a tool she developed to promote the professional reasoning of occupational therapy students. Articles can be found in the Journal of Occupational Therapy Education.

  • Supporting the Professional Reasoning of Students from Fieldwork to Practice. Journal of Occupational Therapy Education. Authors include Jewell and Sarah Phillips, OTD, OTR/L, a post-professional occupational therapy doctorate student at Creighton University at the time of this study.
  • Establishing Inter-Rater Reliability of the Occupation-Centered Intervention Assessment for Student Observation of Rehabilitation Interventions. Authors include Jewell and Ted K. Kaufman, information analyst in the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions, and Joy Burkley, OTD, OTR/L, a post-professional occupational therapy doctorate student at Creighton University during the study implementation.
