Mullins to Speak at Omaha Lit Fest Sept. 3

David Mullins, MFA, associate professor in the College of Arts and Sciences, will speak at this year’s Omaha Lit Fest, on Friday, Sept. 3, at 6:05 p.m. His presentation, How/Why I Write, will take place in the outdoor auditorium. Omaha Lit Fest is a shared experience for readers and authors to gather from 4 to 9:30 p.m. at the Bluebird Theatre in Omaha.

David Mullins is the author of The Brightest Place in the World, a novel, and Greetings from Below, a story collection that won the Mary McCarthy Prize and the International Walter Scott Prize. He received fellowships from National Endowment for the Arts, Yaddo, and the Silver Pen Award from the Nevada Writers Hall of Fame.
