Goal-Planning Training Sessions For Phoenix Employees and Other Important HR Dates

We are so excited for our official campus opening here in Phoenix and excited to become a part of the Creighton Community. Creighton embraces a performance-based culture, reflective of our Jesuit values, which calls for the ongoing formation of all individuals. Part of that process is discerning what goals we can set as departments, teams and individuals to move the University forward and to make meaningful contributions to Creighton’s mission.

Since our performance year begins on July 1, all staff are encouraged to enter their goals for 2021-2022 into myHR by Sept. 30 or earlier. As this process is new for our Phoenix staff members and their managers, Goal-Planning training sessions will be offered. Please see below for a list of dates and times for the Goal-Planning training sessions. Phoenix staff and managers are encouraged to register for the Goal-Planning sessions through the link below. If none of these dates work for you, we will also be scheduling sessions for campuses outside of Phoenix. Stay tuned to Creighton Today for more information. Also included below is a list of the key dates for the 2021-2022 Annual Performance Period.

Information For Nine-, Ten- and Eleven-Month Employees: Nine-, ten-, and eleven-month staff should take into consideration their individual work schedule and plan accordingly to ensure completion of their goal-planning and discussion with their manager, prior to September.

It is important to note that we are also in our Performance Review window to close out 2020-2021 through July 30. If you are interested in learning more, or attending some of the last training sessions on that process, please contact Chris Stanczak or Ashley Anderson.

Goal-Planning Training Sessions for Phoenix Employees

  • Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2 to 3 p.m. (MST)
  • Wednesday, Sept. 29, 9 to 10 a.m. (MST)

Important Dates for the 2021-2022 Performance Year

  • By Sept. 30, 2021: Staff and manager discuss and determine goals for 2021-2022 and enter them into the MyHR system
  • From goal inception through self-review: On-going review, adjustment, feedback, coaching and documentation achievement of goals
  • April 1 to June 30, 2022: Staff completes self-review
  • By July 29, 2022: Manager completes staff member’s review; and Staff and Manager have performance review discussion
  • By Aug. 1, 2022: Performance reviews are done and signed-off
