Special Olympics Pre-Sports Program

Prepare Your Child for the Special Olympics

This free program runs for seven weeks in January–March 2018.

Creighton University’s Departments of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy are offering a head start to the Special Olympics through a pre-sports program.

Special Olympics Young Athletes is a sport and play program for children with and without intellectual disabilities, ages 2 to 7 years old. Young Athletes offers families, teachers, caregivers and people from the community the chance to share the joy of sports with all children.

During each session, a physical therapist and a Creighton physical therapy/occupational therapy student will train the children in basic sports skills, like running, kicking and throwing.

All sessions held at the Creighton Pediatric Therapy clinic. For more information and to register, call 402.280.2200 or visit creighton.edu/youngathletes.

Sessions are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.
