Sheridan Selected for Inaugural AACN Digital Academy

August 27th the American Association of Colleges of Nursing announced 30 faculty members from across the nation who were selected to participate in the inaugural 2021 Digital Academy: Building the Essentials Tool Kit with Digital Innovation.

The Digital Academy will take place Nov. 29 - Dec. 2 in Dallas, Texas before the AACN Transform 2021 Conference.

Ronnie Sheridan, assistant professor of nursing at Creighton University, will present. Sheridan has been in the nursing for over 25 years with experience in both mental health and critical care. Her primary research interests include classroom instruction, active learning, flipped classroom, simulation techniques in mental health, technology in learning and curriculum and instruction best practices to achieve positive student outcomes.

During the digital academy, participants will work together with AACN and their Apple Education collaborators to create and finalize projects that utilize educational technology to create engaging classroom experiences. Digital projects may be submitted for inclusion in the Essentials implementation tool kit.

This is an exciting opportunity to bring the latest in educational technology to the college of nursing.
