Wendling Presents at International Seminar

Amy Wendling, PhD, professor in the Department of Philosophy and associate dean in the College of Arts and Sciences, presented on the International Seminar “Digitalization and Automation in Contemporary Capitalism.”

In her presentation, Wendling speaks about the main arguments of her book “Karl Marx on Technology and Alienation”, which was published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2009. The translation of the event is up to Edemilson Paraná, from NETS. The work draws on lesser known archival materials, including Marx’s notebooks on women, patriarchy and technology to offer a new interpretation of Marx’s concept of alienation as this concept develops in his later works.
