Creighton Pharmacy Office of Experiential Education Receives Award of Excellence

The American Association of College’s of Pharmacy (AACP) Experiential Education Section presents the Award of Excellence in Experiential Education to one deserving individual or group of individuals for their outstanding contribution to the world of experiential education each year.

With the challenging events in our country in 2020, the Experiential Education Section Awards Committee, with support from AACP, decided that the 2020-2021 award should honor all members of pharmacy Experiential Education Departments at each institution for their tremendous efforts at keeping the programs operating despite unimaginable pandemic related challenges.

The Creighton Pharmacy Office of Experiential Education (OEE) is responsible for managing campus and distance-based students for 1900 hours of experiential training as they progress through the pharmacy academic curriculum.

Numerous sites and preceptors turned students away during the pandemic, but the Creighton Office of Experiential Education worked together for many long and stressful hours during the pandemic to keep all pharmacy students on track to progress or graduate.

Members of the pharmacy OEE are grateful to receive this recognition and want to also acknowledge the numerous preceptor and site partners that continue to educate our students at their practice sites, even during this pandemic. Members of OEE include: Dr. Maryann Skrabal (Director), Dr. Rhonda Jones (Associate Director), Dr. Kelli Coover (Assistant Director), Dr. Jenny Tilleman (Faculty), Teri Miller (Adjunct Faculty), Kathy Widman (Senior Coordinator), Kathy Stuhr (Senior Coordinator), and Kathryn Vacha (Senior Coordinator). Dr. Kelly Anderson also was a part of OEE in 2020 and we are grateful for her work with students during the pandemic as well.
