The university is required by EPA regulations to recycle all rechargeable batteries. If you are disposing of rechargeable batteries (including those for laptops, tools, or others including AA or AAA), please contact Mary Duda in EH&S for more information on disposal.
All rechargeable batteries must be in individual, sealed plastic bags. Please do not put multiple batteries into a single bag; this could cause a fire.
However, regular alkaline batteries should not be recycled. For more information about this, please visit Creighton Research Services’ Policies and Procedures.
