Pierce Greenberg, PhD, assistant professor in the Department of Cultural and Social Studies, was selected to participate in a Data Science Innovation Lab sponsored by the National Institute for Health’s Big Data to Knowledge Training Coordinating Center. The lab brings together 30 researchers from across the country to tackle a pressing data-related issue. This year’s theme is “Data Science Challenges in Rural Health and Environmental Exposures.” The lab takes place June 23-28 in Winston Salem, North Carolina, and the goal is to create interdisciplinary teams that submit grant proposals related to the topic.
