Lou Jensen, OTD, OTR/L, assistant professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy was invited to attend the Working Conference to Advance Occupational Therapy in Research and Practice for Cognition and Dementia in October at the Woodcock Institute at Texas Women’s University (TWU) due to her work in cognition and dementia.
The Woodcock Institute for the Advancement of Neurocognitive Research and Applied Practice (aka Woodcock Institute) is committed to the interdisciplinary advancement of contemporary cognitive assessment and applying evidence-based research to clinical practice.
The Woodcock Institute has budgeted $25,000 annually to pay for this conference, which is solution-oriented to a long-standing national challenge and is related to the mission of the Woodcock Institute. The intent is to hold an annual conference on the TWU campus and to limit the number of attendees to experts related to the focused topic.
