Mindrup’s Artistic Efforts Help Nepali Man with NF

Mindrup_RachelRachel Mindrup, MFA, resident assistant professor of fine arts, was recently featured in the Omaha World-Herald article published February 5, 2018, and accompanying video for her work with Nepali man Ashtok Shrestha. As her life passion to spread awareness of NF, Mindrup worked with people around the United States to raise money for the severely disfigured man to receive the surgery he needs.
Mindrup’s exhibition at the Norfolk Arts Center, currently on display, showcases portraits of individuals from around the world diagnosed with NF. Ashtok accompanied Mindrup to view his portrait in person.

A GoFundMe account has been set up for Ashtok’s U.S. surgeries. To donate to please click here.
