Creighton alumna Andrea McGuire, BS’78, MD’82, recently featured in The Spencer Daily Reporter, announced her candidacy for governor of Iowa in the 2018 election. Andrea “Andy” McGuire is a leader of the Iowa Democratic party. She served as Iowa Democratic Party chair and was elected in January 2015 for a two-year term by the party’s State Central Committee. Prior to becoming the chair of the Iowa Democratic Party, McGuire ran for the Democratic nomination for Iowa lieutenant governor.
