Office of International Relations for the Health Sciences August Updates

  • The number of partnerships continues to expand from China to South Korea, Japan, The United Kingdom, Italy, Demark and Chile. Explorations are underway with several institutions in the Middle East. These partnerships host Creighton health sciences students during their clinical training or send students to Creighton for degree and short-term programs in occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing, pharmacy and medicine.
  • Since January of this year, this office has hosted 10 visiting scholars from South Korea, China and Mongolia in occupational therapy, physical therapy and nursing. Additionally, 57 students in occupational therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy and medicine have visited us for programs spanning two to 10 weeks.
  • Partnerships with institutions in China have resulted in recruitment of 11 additional full-time degree-seeking students (8 in the MSR/MSOT, 2 to the OTD and 1 to the DPT programs).
  • Explorations are underway for the development of bridging programs in pharmacy and nursing with several institutions in Asia and the Middle East.
