Division of Student Life August Updates

Center for Student Integrity has a new name

The Office of Community Standards and Wellbeing, formerly the Center for Student Integrity, exists to enhance the quality of student life outside of the classroom. The office collaborates with many departments within the Division of Student Life and the academic division to help students integrate their out-of-classroom experiences with their academic learning.

The Office of Community Standards and Wellbeing is also concerned about the moral and ethical development of our students. Students are expected to play an active and respectful role in community life at Creighton University and adhere to the Student Code of Conduct. Students and student organizations are encouraged to make responsible decisions in their lives inside and outside of the classroom.

The Office offers resources and promote education to students, student organizations and the Creighton community. The staff embraces a holistic approach to education alongside campus and community partners to provide a caring and seamless learning experience for students. The staff is also responsible for coordinating policies and procedures concerning student conduct and the conduct process.

Love, Peace and Unity

As we begin a new academic year on campus, the Division of Student Life in partnership with the Division of Mission and Ministry are making a commitment to the dignity and respect of all persons through a blue and silver ribbon campaign. By choosing to wear the blue and silver ribbon members of our community are making a pledge of solidarity to the Creighton values expressed in our Diversity and Inclusion Policy to uphold these values through their words, thoughts, and actions. As a Jesuit institution we are called to create environments of awareness, inclusion and compassion for all people. Please join us in this pledge of solidarity. Blue and silver ribbons can be picked up at the front desks of the residence halls and the Skutt and Harper information desks.

Student Leadership & Involvement Center

Student Organization Moderator Training: Student organizations are required to have a faculty or staff moderator who acts as a supporter and advisor to the organization. As part of the moderator requirements, faculty and staff acting in this capacity are required to take an online training every three years that provides updates on University policies and resources. The Student Leadership & Involvement Center would like to share that this online training is now available for faculty/staff moderators to participate in. All moderators should complete this training by Sept. 15. The link to the training can be found on the Student Leadership & Involvement Center website.
