The next phase of the Clearway Energy project will close Burt St. from 20th St. to 21st St. from Sept. 25 to Nov. 30. Street parking will be unavailable on both sides of Burt St. The intersection of 20th St. and Burt St. will be inaccessible during this phase of the project, but the intersection of 21st St. and Burt St., including student parking on the west side of Davis Square, will remain open. Clearway’s work on 20th St. south of Burt St. should conclude by Oct. 22.
Also, due to a short-notice paving project by the City of Omaha, free street parking will not be available on Burt St. from 24th St. to 30th St. from Sept. 26 - 29. To offset this temporary loss of parking, Public Safety is providing free parking in the east end of Lot 48, north of the chill plant. No parking permits will be required in this area during the duration of the project. When the project is complete, this temporary allowance will end. This schedule could change based on weather conditions; the City will post signs on the street with project dates. Questions may be directed to Facilities Management at x2780.
