Tierney Awarded for Infection Control Work

Maureen-Tierney_300Maureen Tierney, MD, chair of the Department of Clinical Research and assistant dean for clinical research and public health in the School of Medicine, received the 2020 Distinguished Service Award from the Nebraska Infection Control Network (NICN) for her work in preventing and controlling outbreaks in long-term care facilities. Her efforts in controlling COVID-19 in long-term care facilities in the first months of the pandemic were specifically noted.
