Alpha Iota Sigma Honor Society Induction Ceremony

A5On June 3, the EdD program in Interdisciplinary Leadership held an inaugural induction ceremony (virtually) for the newly-established Creighton University Chapter of the International Interdisciplinary Honor Society (Alpha Iota Sigma – AIS). A community of 144 graduates and students attended the virtual ceremony that was facilitated by the AIS Executive team with Dr. Candace Bloomquist, Assistant Professor in the Interdisciplinary Leadership Doctoral Program leading as Faculty Advisor.

Founded in 2012, AIS includes representatives from over a dozen institutions. The mission of AIS is to recognize and advance the academic scholarship and achievements of interdisciplinary students and professionals. The event started out with a welcome address by Chapter President Pamela McAfee, followed by guest speaker, Chris Lowney who gave a keynote titled “Leadership Lessons During Coronavirus.” This was followed by a small group discussion and a question and answer session led by Chris Lowney.
