Finance Division Reflects on Retreat

John Team Scavenger Hunt -1Come away with your Creighton colleagues to find quiet time for reflection and prayer. Presentations by Susan Naatz and/or Frs. Gillick and Carlson will invite you to center on your life. The Rev. Howard Gray, SJ, said, “A retreat is a focused encounter with God that centers on the quality of my personal response to God’s self-revelation in prayer and reflection.”

On Wednesday, Nov. 13, the Finance division had a retreat at the Creighton University Retreat Center. It was planned and organized by Michon Bowen, the Larry Gillick, SJ, and the Rev. Greg Carlson, SJ. In Michon’s words: It was fantastic! Fr. Carlson and Fr. Gillick were terrific facilitators. They were thoughtful and insightful, very positive and entertaining. We had 27 attendees altogether.

The day included a short film about St. Ignatius, input from Fr. Larry and Fr. Greg about eight of the Jesuit Values/Charisms, opportunities for silence, small group sharing and energetic team-building activities in the afternoon.

Michon reflected: I had so many people come up to me saying they really enjoyed the day and got a lot out of the spiritual side as well as team building side. Several people enjoyed getting to know people they don’t work with that much. I would recommend it for any department!
