Creighton University will discontinue its temperature screening stations beginning Monday, Feb. 22, to resume only if there is an increase of COVID-19 activity on campus and rising positivity rates in Douglas County. No fever readings have been detected recently that would have triggered a COVID-19 test, and the recent cold temperatures have caused some false low temperature readings by the thermal cameras. On-campus athletic events and other larger gatherings will continue to have temperature screenings, as well as prospective students and their families during visits. Surveillance testing and monitoring positive cases on campus will continue, and those coming to campus will still be required to complete the daily #CampusClear health screening.
