- How can faculty and staff better incorporate Catholic Social Teaching into their work?
To incorporate members of the Creighton community beyond the Omaha campus and accommodate uncertainty around COVID-19, this year’s CST Level 1 series will be offered entirely online. For each theme, participants will receive two 20-minute asynchronous video presentations: one from a Creighton theologian and one from a Creighton faculty or staff member with related scholarly or applied expertise. On the Fridays listed below, participants will discuss the videos from 12:15-12:45 p.m. (Central) via synchronous Zoom meeting facilitated by Dr. DiLeo.
Zoom meeting dates: Aug. 28, 2020; Sept. 25, 2020; Oct. 23, 2020; Nov. 20, 2020; Jan. 29, 2021; Feb. 26, 2021; March 26, 2021; April 23, 2021
The series will introduce key Catholic Social Teaching themes in relation to Creighton’s Catholic, Jesuit identity:

| Preferential Option for the Poor | Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion |
| Creation Care and Climate Change | Health Care |
| Economic Justice | Peace and War |
Those who complete this series will be eligible to participate in Catholic Social Teaching Level 2 – “Living Justice: Catholic Social Teaching in Action” the following year.
