Cristina Fernandez, MD, professor, Department of Pediatrics, was awarded the 2017 Nebraska Humanitarian Award in honor of Harold E. Williamson from COPIC Medical Foundation. The award recognizes volunteer medical services and contributions to the community by Nebraska physicians. Dr. Fernandez was recognized at the Nebraska Medical Association’s Annual Meeting at the Embassy Suites in Downtown Lincoln on Sept. 8.
