Mullins Interviewed by Las Vegas NBC Affiliate About Novel

CCAS_Mullins_DavidDavid P. Mullins, MFA, associate professor of creative writing in the Department of English, was interviewed recently by Las Vagas NBC affiliate KSNV about his recently published novel, The Brightest Place in the World. Mullins grew up outside of Las Vegas and was in eighth grade in 1988 when a large explosion happened at Pacific Engineering and Production Company of Nevada, where his father worked. Mullins’ novel is a fictionalized telling of the industrial disaster and its aftermath. Additionally, On Nov. 4, Mullins, was a featured reader, alongside poet Ruth Williams, for Nebraska Wesleyan University’s William C. Kloefkorn Nebraska Writers Series. Mullins read from his novel, The Brightest Place in the World.
