Kevin Fuji, PharmD, associate professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice, was appointed as the chair for American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Section Advisory Group on Professional Development (under the Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology) for the 2020-2021 year. This group has typically focused on providing education and training materials for practicing and future Pharmacy Informaticists. It develops submissions to American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy to support all facets of health information technology, reviews and develops section resources, and supports publication of informatics research. This advisory group is also involved in planning educational opportunities at ASHP Midyear and other national meetings in collaboration with the section’s other advisory groups. Fuji has served on this group for six of the past seven years.
Second-year campus pharmacy student, Amen Mengistu, was also appointed to the Professional Development Section Advisory Group as a member. She is one of two students on the group.
