Katie Wadas-Thalken, EdD, director of Academic Success and Zara Risoldi Cochrane, PharmD, associate professor of Pharmacy Practice and director of the Center for Drug Information and Evidence-based Practice in the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions, presented at the Nebraska Digital Learning Association (NDLA) conference in February in Lincoln, Nebraska. They discussed how academic advising can be used to improve student engagement and retention in online programs. NDLA brings together education professionals from across the state to discuss best practices for enhancing distance learning, in K-12 to higher education. Risoldi Cochrane also serves on the board of directors, along with Kim Begley, PharmD, both faculty in Creighton’s pharmacy program. Our partners in the Teaching and Learning Center also presented at the conference. Learn more on the NDLA website.
