Greg Zacharias, PhD, professor of English and director of the Center for Henry James Studies announced that the family of J. C. Levenson (1922-2018), renowned American literature and American Studies scholar and Edgar Allan Poe Professor Emeritus Professor at the University of Virginia, donated professor Levenson’s limited-edition copy of Henry James’s Novels and Tales (26 vols) to the Center for Henry James Studies. Professor Levenson’s edition is shelved with other Henry James first-editions and monographs, donated by Irving Malin, longtime book reviewer for the New Yorker, professor Rayburn Moore (Georgia), professor Robert Gale (Pittsburgh), and Charles Gill (Los Angeles).
