Mindrup’s “Neurofibromatosis: The People” Art Exhibit Opens at Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art in St. Joseph

eb644a22-2780-42e3-b4e0-32298072987bRachel Mindrup, MFA, resident assistant professor in the Department of Fine and Performing Arts, opens an exhibit “Neurofibromatosis (NF): The People” Nov. 15, at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art in St. Joseph, Missouri.

The show has 49 pieces in it, 34 of which were created in the last year and a half and have never been exhibited. The new pieces focus on Ashok Shrestha’s NF journey and all of the collective efforts to help him get funding for his tumor surgeries. The other new paintings focus on married couples who both have NF, as well as people of Kansas and Missouri living with NF.

The exhibit, sponsored by Mosaic Life Care, runs from Nov. 15 to Jan. 5, 2020 and is viewable during museum hours.
