Mordini Receives Fellowship Award

Mordini_Lorenzo-webLorenzo Mordini, DDS, MS, assistant professor of the Department of Periodontics and diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, received the Nevins Teaching and Clinical Research Fellowship from American Academy of Periodontology Foundation at their annual meeting.

The fellowship is for full-time periodontal educators who have been teaching at least one, and not more than five, full-time academic years at U.S. programs. The mission of the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation is to improve the periodontal and general health of the public through increasing public and professional knowledge of periodontal diseases and their therapies, stimulating basic and clinical research to generate new knowledge, and enhancing educational programs at all levels to create opportunities in periodontal education and practice.
