Tom Purcell, PhD, CPA, professor of accounting, has been appointed to the Nebraska Board of Public Accountancy for the 2017-18 term. His bio is below:
Dr. Thomas Purcell III, Omaha, Nebraska was elected Vice Chair of the Board. Dr. Purcell is currently a Professor of Accounting at Creighton University and has taught accounting and law for over 30 years. He also is a consultant and been active in the Nebraska Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs along with authoring several published articles on accounting and tax policy. In 2005 he received the Nebraska Society of CPAs public service award. He is a graduate of Creighton University in accounting & law and the University of Nebraska with a doctorate in accounting & taxation. Dr. Purcell has been a member of the Board since 2013.
