Stories and memories spoke to the grit, dedication and award-worthiness of Dr. Henry Lynch. Dr. Joann Porter recalled Monday that when she was a medical student at Creighton University in the late 1980s, Lynch had injured his back before a lecture. Instead of backing out, Lynch had an assistant wheel him in and he went ahead with his talk while lying on a gurney.
