Peck to Chair Creighton Physical Therapy Department July 1

Kirk Peck, PhD, has been appointed chair of the Creighton University Department of Physical Therapy effective July 1.

Peck is an associate professor in the department and was appointed interim chair in 2015. A Creighton faculty member since 2002, Peck has been involved in several professional initiatives at both the state and national levels, including serving as past president of the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association.

Peck’s clinical research interests include rehabilitation and performance enhancement of both equestrian and equine athletes and canine rehabilitation. He currently serves as president of the Animal Rehabilitation Special Interest Group, part of the Orthopedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Peck earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Kansas State University, a master of science in physical therapy from the University of Kansas, and a PhD at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
