School of Medicine: Zuo Receives Stem Cell Research Award; Svolos Published in Letters in Quarantine: Psychoanalytic Chronicles of a Pandemic

Jian Zuo, PhD, professor and chairman of the School of Medicine’s Department of Biomedical Sciences, received an award for $110,000 from the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services to conduct stem cell research.

Thomas Svolos, MD, professor of psychiatry and associate dean for strategy and accreditation in the School of Medicine, has two chapters – “Coronavirus and the Hole in the Big Other” and “Life Over Death” – published in Letters in Quarantine: Psychoanalytic Chronicles of a Pandemic, a book released this month by Midden Press.
