What do you do?

“As an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, I have multiple roles with a focus on student learning and professional development. My primary role is teaching, specifically Patient Management I, Neuromuscular Physical Therapy I and II and Integrated Labs I and V. My colleagues and I are committed to shaping clinicians who treat the whole person, with an emphasis on movement science, wellness and equitable care.

I will also have a teaching role as a clinical education advisor to mentor and support students throughout their clinical experiences. As part of the clinical education team, I have the opportunity to collaborate with clinical partners to support our community. Our Creighton students are so fortunate to have access to a large breadth of clinical sites across the continuum of care and engage in 44 weeks of clinical education practice prior to graduation.

In addition, my PT colleagues and I are providing pro bono services with St Vincent de Paul as part of our service and clinical work. We will be able to have students join us to get involved in this clinical opportunity, as well.”
