Highlander Community Day is an annual event hosted by Seventy Five North Revitalization Corp. The day celebrates the positive energy of Highlander and the people who call it home – while inviting the broader community to enjoy food, music and entertainment. Visit the Highlander Accelerator, 2112 N. 30th St., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Highlander Accelerator Open House: Visit all of the partners located in Highlander Accelerator, grab food from Dining Room and enjoy family fun activities on the Community Lawn from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Summer Sounds at Highlander: Set out a blanket, chairs, and bring snacks for a free music concert Featuring R-Style Band, starting at 7 p.m., and co-presented by Omaha Performing Arts. R-Style Band is a multi-talented group made up of five members, all originating from the Omaha area. It is a conglomerate of two bands that formed in the 1980s. Former members from the bands ETC, and JAM Squad combined in 2003 to form the high-energy, show band today known as R-Style.
