Earth Month Opportunities: Sign Up Today

Earth Day occurs annually on April 22. Every year, Creighton celebrates with awareness-raising events, advocacy and service throughout the month of April. This year’s campus theme is environmental justice. A full schedule of events will be available soon. In the meantime, the events listed below require preregistration. Don’t miss out; sign up today!

  • Community Beautification: In collaboration with Keep Omaha Beautiful, the Office of Sustainability Programs has designed Friday afternoon service opportunities during Earth Month. We are seeking students, staff and faculty to join us in caring for our common home.When: Friday, April 9; Friday, April 16; Friday, April 23; each session runs from 2-4 p.m.
    What: Clean up Logan Fontenelle Park, a public park in a nearby northside neighborhood. This is an opportunity to get outside and help make our community a more inviting place.

  • Earth Month Reading Group: The Office of Sustainability Programs is hosting a book club during Earth Month, and you are invited to join! We will be reading Climate Justice by Mary Robinson.When: Friday, April 9; Friday, April 16; Friday, April 23; noon- 1 p.m.
