The Global Engagement Office and the Kingfisher Institute for the Liberal Arts & Professions have partnered on a new effort to build capacity for interdisciplinary, globally engaged research and scholarship. As a roadmap to sustaining our shared future, we will focus on the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals and intersections with our mission as a Jesuit, Catholic university.
We seek scholars who are interested in joining a group discernment process in support of these goals. Successful applicants will:
- Participate in three meetings during the spring 2021 semester;
- Jointly plan virtual meetings during summer 2021;
- Read The Age of Sustainable Development by Jeffrey Sachs (book will be provided);
- Provide formative feedback for fellow participants’ project proposals during fall 2021;
- Consider a project proposal to the Common Home Project
