Students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to read “How to Be an AntiRacist” and join 4 virtual discussion groups over September and October 2020.
The major themes of “How to Be an AntiRacist” intersect and compliment much of the ongoing and burgeoning work on racial justice and racial healing across the Creighton University community and the Greater Omaha community. To halt the persistence and perpetuation of racism and racist structures, interested individuals have to be proactive and go beyond being neutral.
This series of discussions based on Kendi’s critically acclaimed book is a prime opportunity to engage in the ongoing paradigm shift taking place when considering race, racism, and reconciliation.
Participants will be further equipped to engage both in their circles of influence as well as new networks. The hope is that conversations reach across generations, social, racial and other divides with each individual feeling seen and heard.
To join, you must be available for all 4 sessions (Tuesdays 3:30-4:30 pm Central Via Zoom):

We will provide an optional Session October 13th 3:30-4:30 pm which is a free virtual tour of the Great Plains Black History Museum.
Limited e-book scholarships are available.
We encourage participants to check local library e-book access or purchasing your own at a locally owned bookstore.
