National Cyber Security Awareness Month

ncsam2019_logo CU 500October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) and Creighton is a NCSAM Champion. Under the overarching theme of ‘Own IT. Secure IT. Protect IT.’, the 16th annual National Cybersecurity Awareness Month is focused on encouraging personal accountability and proactive behavior in security best practices and digital privacy.

Join the campus fun and learn more about how you can become cyber aware. Cyber security awareness activities kick off on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 11:30 a.m. in the Reinert Memorial Library atrium with cookies, security checklists and awareness wristbands. This Division of Information Technology and Library Services (ITLS) is also hosting an escape room in the “Cave” at the Reinert Memorial Library. Come and try to escape while you learn about cyber security! Those that ESCAPE will be put into a drawing for a Free PIZZA PARTY! Register your team of 4-5 people for the escape room and learn more about cybersecurity awareness at doit.creighton.edu/NCSAM.
