Randy-Richardson_0School of Medicine Phoenix Regional Campus Dean Randy Richardson, MD, had a book, Atlas of Pediatric CTA of Coronary Artery Anomalies, published by Springer Publishing in August 2020. Comprised of hundreds of anomalies in infants collected over the past 15 years, this atlas includes 3d color-coded images, angiograms, CTs and MRIs, as well as detailed instructions for performing coronary CTAs in infants. This book is the first of its kind to focus on the challenges involved with imaging coronary artery anomalies in infants. The appearance of coronary artery anomalies is often dramatically different in infants with congenital heart disease, unique techniques and careful timing are required for imaging these 1-2 mm blood vessels. Many of the coronary anomalies presented are not commonly seen because many infants don’t survive past childhood.
