Creighton Mock Trial Team Takes 1st Place at Bluejay Open

Lead by George McNary, JD, associate professor of management, the Creighton Mock Trial hosted the Bluejay Open November 3rd and 4th.

Creighton competed with teams from Colorado-Boulder, Central College, University of Nebraska-Lincoln and South Dakota.

Creighton Team 1116 won first place with a record of 8-0. Team 1116 is composed of Lauren Bloomquist (A & S), Eilidh Chowanec (A & S), Katie Hicks (A & S), Hanah Juday (A & S), Jadyn Lovelady (A & S), Ethan Kimbourgh (Heider), Heidi Strigenz (A & S) and, Ben Orzolek (A & S), Ryan Wolak (Heider),

The other two teams, 1117 finished 6th and 1118 came in tied for third but lost out on CS.

Eilidh Chowanec, Nate Barry, Kollyn Wiemer, and John Vosicky, won Best Attorney Awards.

Eilidh Chowanec , Hanah JudayS, and Ethan Kimbourgh, won “Best Witness” Awards.

The Creighton Mock Trial team next competes at UMKC on the Nov. 16-17.
