Hall Awarded DAAD Research Grant

Ashley Hall, PhD, associate professor of Theology, has been awarded a DAAD Short Research Grant for his sabbatical project at the new Research Library for Reformation Studies in Wittenberg, Germany. The DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst/German Academic Exchange Service) is a competitive private, federally-funded agency of the institutions of higher education in Germany founded to promote international cooperation among researchers and faculty. While in Wittenberg (the birthplace of the Protestant Reformation), Dr. Hall will continue research for his project “Sola Scriptura: Its Use and Limitations in the Lutheran Tradition,” which he began during the Easter Term (2018) as a Visiting Fellow of the Divinity Faculty of the University of Cambridge (England).
