Sr. Tucci’s Art Published

Painting Prairie GrassesRESIZED“Prairie Grasses” by Creighton Nursing Chaplain Sr. Candice Tucci, OSF, was published in Presence: An International Journal of Spiritual Direction, Vol. 24, No. 3, September 2018. The original oil painting hangs in the Omaha College of Nursing break room.

Sr. Tucci created the painting for the College of Nursing based on photographs she took on campus and at the Lauritzen Gardens. “I love the movement of the grasses in the wind, the diversity of colors, vastness of the prairie and dramatic skies in this part of the county,” Sr. Tucci said of what inspired her work.

Sr. Tucci has a BFA in painting and drawing. She has done various illustrations for books and periodicals. In addition, she is listed in the archives of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC.
